As a single living
on teachers’ salary, I was able to purchase a new home,
but always lived pay check to pay check. Dealing with
money and budget was pretty intimidating and
overwhelming and always left me feeling like I wasn’t
quite going to make it. I had tried refinancing in the
past, but always had a negative experience simply being
reminded how much I don’t have. I was also afraid of
getting in over my head financially and really needed to
work with someone I could trust.
A friend
encouraged me to give Ingrid a call. I sent her my
information – monthly income, expenses and bills, and
step by step she led me through the process of
refinancing, helping me decide which debts to roll into
the new mortgage (pointing out that one or two already
had a lower interest rate so it was better to leave them
separate.) Most importantly, she helped me understand
all of the details and feel confident in my decisions.
I couldn’t believe
it when she found a mortgage that not only consolidated
my debts, but lowered my monthly house payments by
hundreds of dollars. I was able to end each month “in
the black” and for the first time ever, I felt was able
to keep up and even get ahead.
Thanks Ingrid, for
making the process painless and for honoring all that I
do have! It’s wonderful to feel confident when it comes
to finances. I may never be rich, but I’m finally
secure and it is such a relief! You helped me feel good
about where I am.

A little note on my
experiences working with Ingrid…
You hear so much
these days about mortgage brokers having steered home
buyers into loans with terms they didn’t understand or
realistically couldn’t afford. Many of them may have
been persuaded and enticed by “GREAT TERMS YOU CAN
AFFORD!”
I consider myself
to be an educated buyer, a degree in Accounting, own
several investment properties and generally up to
speed. Ingrid always reviews with me the COMPLETE terms
of my loans, what to realistically expect and how the
market fluctuations could ultimately affect me. To my
surprise, I learn something every time!
I like to think her
attention to my loans was a specialized treatment for me
and others couldn’t possibly expect the same, devoted
attention to small details but I know I’m no different.
My first mortgage
with her I was traveling full time, faxing her
information from truck stops in middle-America, random
dropped cell phone calls and a questionable state of
employment. She stuck in there in spite of some of the
random things I dropped on her at the last minute… (Oh,
by the way, I lost my job...).
Ten mortgages and
many properties later, I just wanted to say she hasn’t
led me astray, keeps me informed and has always helped
me find the right terms.
